Well...the Van Zalinge uses a special pickup. Don't have much info on this (anyone else?). My ebass is equipped with an Underwood piezo pickup, but there are many more pickups available. Piezo's will probably give you a better sound, but you'll mostly need a preamp to get the best out of it. Sander Hi Machiel!
