In 2003, I decided to build an electric upright bass. The bass rewarded my efforts and became a fine instrument: the sound of the bass is very warm, the tone very rich and of course it is easy to carry and amplify. I mostly use it to play hiphop, funk and groove jazz. Of course, an electric bass always sounds different from an acoustic bass, but the EUB adds interesting possibilities for playing groovy music!
